The Pightle Press is a new collaborative project inviting artists, writers, dreamers and makers to contribute work that centres the wild natural world, seasonality, and the magic that can manifest in a moment of stillness. We are multimedia and interdisciplinary by design, producing zines that hang between states or grow from one thing into another. Each zine project is a self-contained world, offering its own message, aesthetics and grammar. They are an invitation to step outside and look more closely at the world we live in, whether that be through the lens of narrative, folklore, reflection, or something else entirely.
We aim to keep our offerings affordable for anyone who wants to read them. We are an inclusive press with a mission of featuring stories about and work by underrepresented groups. We also do our best to be gentle on the environment by using low-impact and recycled materials wherever possible. At time of writing, all our zines are hand-bound on recycled paper in a farmhouse in East Anglia.
